Was Jesus Crucified?

Was Jesus crucified? Muslims say no but the Apostle John was there, and he did not depend on hearsay, which is clearly all that Muhammad's claim is.
Muslims do not know the Bible, and that is why they speak out of ignorance when they say that no one of Jesus' followers was at the cross.

Here is proof that there were direct witnesses of Christ's death on the cross:

"Standing near the cross were Jesus’ mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary (the wife of Clopas), and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw His mother standing there beside the disciple He loved [John], He said to her, “Dear woman, here is your son.” And He said to this disciple, “Here is your mother.” And from then on this disciple took her into his home." (John 19:25-27 NLT)

None of the Gospel writers depended on hearsay. Here is more proof:

  Matthew 27:26
"Then he released Barabbas for them; but after having Jesus scourged, he handed Him over to be crucified."

  Matthew 27:35
"And when they had crucified Him, they divided up His garments among themselves by casting lots."

  Matthew 27:38
"At that time two robbers were crucified with Him, one on the right and one on the left."

  Matthew 27:44
"The robbers who had been crucified with Him were also insulting Him with the same words."

  Matthew 28:5
"The angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified.'"

  Mark 15:15
"Wishing to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas for them, and after having Jesus scourged, he handed Him over to be crucified."

  Mark 15:24
"And they crucified Him, and divided up His garments among themselves, casting lots for them to decide what each man should take."

  Mark 15:25
"It was the third hour when they crucified Him."

  Mark 15:27
"They crucified two robbers with Him, one on His right and one on His left."

  Mark 15:32
"'Let this Christ, the King of Israel, now come down from the cross, so that we may see and believe!' Those who were crucified with Him were also insulting Him."

  Mark 16:6
"And he said to them, 'Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; behold, here is the place where they laid Him.'"

  Luke 23:23
"But they were insistent, with loud voices asking that He be crucified. And their voices began to prevail."

  Luke 23:33
[ The Crucifixion ] "When they came to the place called The Skull, there they crucified Him and the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left."

  Luke 24:6-7  The angel said,
"He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.”

In Luke 24:19-20, the Risen Christ meets two apostles on the road to Emmaus 3 days after His death,

"And [Jesus] said to them, 'What things?' And they said to Him, 'The things about Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word in the sight of God and all the people, and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to the sentence of death, and crucified Him.'"

  John 19:18
"There they crucified Him, and with Him two other men, one on either side, and Jesus in between."

  John 19:20
"Therefore many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Latin and in Greek."

  John 19:23
"Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His outer garments and made four parts, a part to every soldier and also the tunic; now the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece."

  John 19:32
"So the soldiers came, and broke the legs of the first man and of the other who was crucified with Him..."

  John 19:41
"Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid."

  Acts 2:36
"Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus Whom you crucified.”

  Acts 4:10
"let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead— by this name this man stands here before you in good health."

  Romans 6:6
"... knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin..."

  1 Corinthians 1:13
"Has Christ been divided? Paul was not crucified for you, was he? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?"

  1 Corinthians 1:23
"... but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness..."

"For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified."

  1 Corinthians 2:8
"the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory..."

  2 Corinthians 13:4
"For indeed He was crucified because of weakness, yet He lives because of the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, yet we will live with Him because of the power of God directed toward you."

  Galatians 2:20
"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me."

  Galatians 3:1
"You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified?"

  Galatians 6:14
"But may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world."

  Revelation 11:8
"And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which mystically is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified."

Jesus said He would be crucified and He is no liar.

The apostles and eyewitnesses all saw Him crucified.

Even Roman unbelievers were witnesses to His crucifixion.

The Bible, history and archaeology clearly prove Jesus' death and resurrection as facts.

There is no disputing facts, especially when all Muslims have as "evidence" is hearsay from a man who lived 600 years after these events, and 2,000 kms away.

Muhammad never met the Christ, nor any of His apostles or disciples. And there is just no reason at all for rational human beings to take his unsubstantiated and patently false claim as true.
